Rick Sloan has a decision to make:  Go on an African safari in the Serengeti? Take a trip through the outback of Australia? Or enjoy outdoor activities at a ranch in Wyoming? The Wright City resident’s name was drawn today to win his choice of one of these worldwide exploration trips in the Missouri Lottery’s “Second Chance of a Lifetime: Summer Thrills” promotion.

“These are all amazing once-in-a-lifetime experiences,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “It will be interesting to see which location is most popular among our winners.”

Two additional players’ names were also drawn today to win their choice of four Midwest exploration trips to Branson, Memphis, Louisville or Chicago. They are: Violet Noe of Deepwater and Stephen Schaffer of St. Louis.

An additional 10 winners were selected to receive $1,000 cash. A list of those winners can be found at here.

The final “Summer Thrills” drawing will take place on Aug. 23.
Through Aug. 21, players will receive one entry for each $10 worth of eligible Scratchers tickets or Draw Games tickets entered into their My Lottery® Players Club account. They will get to choose which of the three drawings – worldwide exploration, Midwest exploration or cash – they would like to enter. All prizes are taxes paid.

The promotion also offers weekly merchandise drawings. Fifty winners are drawn each Tuesday to win an outdoor-themed merchandise item, such as patio heaters, gas and charcoal grills, smokers, bikes, tents, coolers and more.
